Jay is amazing! We hired him on the recommendation of the company where we purchased our Stiltz elevator. Not only did he do a superb job doing the construction for the elevator, he expertly repaired the drywall holes left by the electrician. We were so impressed with the quality of his work that we additionally contracted him to repaint the room with the elevator. He did many extras that we didn't expect and the room looks like a museum. Most highly recommended!
We asked Jay to meet to determine if a personal elevator/lift could be installed to put a deposit on a new construction home. Not only did he answer all our questions, he came up with brilliant and very thoughtful suggestions concerning the modifications needed to various utilities in order to install a lift in a home with a small footprint. Very kind and thoughtful man. He has your best interests at heart. Would hire him again!
Jay is a perfectionist. He cares about his customers needs and exceeds expectations. He completed the installation remodeling for installation of our interior STILTZ LIFT ( elevator ), including drywall finishing and painting. It matches so perfectly that no repair marks show. He also installed a complicated stair handrail that he perfectly designed. He is trustworthy, honest, and has become a true friend.
Jay Dawes is my first choice. I am so glad he moved to Asheville. If you want tip-top quality, look no further. I met him about 15 years ago when I lived up north. I needed a bathroom remodel/expansion in my former house. He came up with a brilliant idea which utilized the space beautifully. His tile work is spectacular.
