In late November, our mother passed away at the age of 86. We made arrangements with JB Smith to have her body transported to a medical research school as she had arranged to have her body donated to science many years prior. A 'paper work' negligence of JB Smith took her final wish away. Instead of completing the transfer of her body within the required 5 days to the medical research school her body remained in their morgue for 14 days. From the moment they arrived at my home to them transporting my beloved Nana up to Milwaukee for her final resting place, these guys were top notch. They provided comfort, took great pride and care in their work and made everything so simple for us. Thank you is not enough, we appreciate you all more than you know.

This funeral home did services for my father in law WITHOUT the knowledge and involvement of the family/next of kin. They additionally filed the death certificate incorrectly TWICE. It has been over 6 weeks since his passing and we still do not have a correct death certificate, since the amendment request process takes 4 - 6 weeks. No apologies or attempts at acknowledging the tremendous hurt that's been done to this family.

During a tough time for our extended family, David Work and the staff of Jay B Smith Funeral Home in Fenton were a valuable team helping us with final arrangements for our Step Dad, Dad, and Husband. Their assistance with the planning and continuing care of all of us has been valued by all. The Memorial and Service were a fitting good bye to a man loved and missed by many. Thank you.

I can’t say enough good about this funeral home. We have used them several times and their handling of the details is sincere and compassionate. They are a comfort in very trying times.
