I had no prior experience with attorneys. I was nervous and apprehensive going in to my first appointment with Attorney Kohler. He put me at ease and listened to my concerns. He answered my questions. In the end I did not need to hire the services of an attorney. Mr. Kohler's initial consultation was free. If I ever need the services of an attorney in the future, I will probably see Mr. Kohler first to see if he could handle my case.
We had decided to file bankruptcy, which we did not want to do. Mr. Kohler suggested that before filing bankruptcy we should try to negotiate with our creditors. It took a few months, but Attorney Kohler eventually was successful in getting the majority of our creditors to accept substantially discounted lump sum settlements. Using our tax refunds and a little help from family we were able to satisfy our debts and avoid filing bankruptcy. We were grateful for his help.
Jay Kohler did a wonderful job in helping me with a recent difficult legal and financial situation. He was always respectful, quickly understood my situation in great detail, and was efficient and effective in his work on my behalf.
