Enormous service unfortunately, I have to disagree with these people I have been a customer of Jax Auto for 3yrs, they do reliable work, technician know there German cars like back of hand, and there prices are little bit higher compare to others thats because they do quality work and there in downtown Brea, I would highly suggest this place if you own a German vehicle.
Maybe dishonest I though the AAA recommended meant this was a reputable place. But after comparing prices with other mechanics, I believe Jax rips people off. While he does satisfactory work, his prices are quite high and he loves to act as if he is cutting you a great deal and not making much money. His whole act is very annoying and he does not seem very trustworthy. Go somewhere else if you are looking for someone to trust.
A nice surprise! Jax did some unusual repairs for my daughter's car last year. They charged less than other estimates and did extra repair for free. We went back for a couple of other things and we love them. I am going to them today for a transmission for my daughter's car that has 155,000 miles on it. The Ford dealer charged me money to do nothing except turn over the engine. Edgar is pleased to take care of us again and said to come on down.
An Honest Mechanic A friend recommended Jax. I took my car in, and they did a great repair for a fair price. I sent my wife, and without worry, she got home safe and sound without our bank account being shut down. Since then, i've sent both my daughters and know Jack will take care of them without overcharging and doing unnecessary repairs. I highly recommend his services.
JAX is the place to take your car I recently had to have a "Smog Test Only", which I have come to find out that 60% of vehicles fail! I took the car to JAX Automotive Repair and discussed the problem with the lead mechanic, whom I have known for some time. He told me that it was a simple repair and fixed it promptly, and at a fair price. The car passed the "Test Only" with flying colors! Jax Auto Repair - Outstanding I first used Jax in 1986. Since then he has taken care of all my cars. It's the only place I can send my wife to without fear of getting something that wasn't needed.
Seemed friendly Had a problem with my car stalling....they said they couldnt find the problem for days.....then they told me it was some control valve and all they had to do was clean it.....they cleaned it....i drove off and my car died at the red light....i had it towed to another shop and they said someone unplugged all my hoses.....WOW....considering the area they worked on wasnt even close to my internal hoses..... F---- DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! BEWARE!
Highly Reccommended....outstanding service We have been taking our cars to Jax Auto for over 20 years and have NEVER had one problem. We even sent our teenage girls with their cars knowing that they would not be taken advantage of. We have always totally trusted JAX with our cars and have never been disappointed. Be wary Here's my opinion: i agree with Sasha D. It is AAA approved, etc. BUT, they do not follow proper procedure, their story changes constantly, they do not do what they say, and they are incompetent. It used to be a good place but it is now run by a man that you can't trust - because of the above. i would encourage you to stay away from this place as long as he's there.
