I took my older dog to Jasper Animal Hospital as I was referred by a family member. Overall the staff and vets are very nice and do well with pets. However, I have been taken aback by the focus on trying to add as many charges possible to a bill, some of which weren't even performed. My dog is 12 years old and had 6 teeth left. He had 36 removed for $900 back in San Diego two years ago. It was a matter of time to have the remaining teeth removed. Upon my first visit, the doctors and assistants were all very nice. Dr. Dodge is great! Dr. Dodge is very down to earth and a wonderful vet! He even sits down on the floor to be at our pets' level and make them feel comfortable. He's very personable and accepts the raw diet we feed our dogs and doesn't over-prescribe medications. Great guy!
Jasper Animal Hospital is the best! Dr. Dodge and Dr. Space are great vets. They really care about our dogs and cats and strike a balance between prescribing medicines and letting the animals heal naturally. They have been extremely helpful with all of our foster dogs. They are by far the best vets we've ever had. Thanks to the Vets and their wonderful staff!
Great Clinic JAH has been our vet for years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everyone is clearly competent and well trained. I am always reminded of when my pet is in need of something far in advance to I have time to make an appointment that works with my busy schedule. I never have to worry about what my pet needs because JAH keeps track of everything for me. When we go in, she is treated with as much love and care as I give. My Dog Strider has been treated with Jasper for the past 7 years. Minor check up and heart worm medications. However, we experienced over the last month a serious concern with what was a small growth on his head which progressed into a major growth... and thru this time I had 3 visits to Jasper without treatment other than Antibiotics prescript. When my dog came in to get neutered they called me at least 3 times that day. It really set me at ease.
