I was sent here from my new gastro. I had two abscesses in my intestines from a Crohn's disease attack with diverticulitis . I sat in a hospital room for 3 days while they tried to figure out what to do with me. The nurses were horrible and told me to stop screaming while I was in horrible pain. They told me they couldn't drain the abscess and that there was nothing else they can do for me. They sent me home and told me to wait. I went in for surgery on July 9th, I did not have a long wait which I naturally expected, they took me right in. Everything from the moment I arrived was done in a timely, professional manner. The entire staff were all absolutely amazing. Dr. Mizel even held my hand as my husband held the other and offered a prayer for guidance and direction before going into the operating room. All was good until I filed a complaint about my husband's pain not being managed correctly.. after that... we were moved to a disgusting room with less than friendly nursing staff... my husband has had to deal with c diff since Dr. Mizell did his ostomy reversal.. Now we are sitting in Baptist because UAMS conveniently didn't have any rooms available and when the doctors here decided my husband needed transferred to UAMS to be better cared for ...
