Dr. Mckean is hands down the best orthopedic trauma surgeon in NY. I'm still in awe of the exceptional care and expertise Dr. Mckean and his associate nurse Chantel provided during my recent tibial plateau fracture surgery. From the initial consultation to the follow-up appointments, Dr. Mckean and his staff demonstrated unparalleled professionalism, compassion, and dedication. Wonderful caring staff delivering excellent care.
Had a broken ankle in 3 parts, the er told me to make an appointment with one of the doctors, they gave me on their list as soon as possible. None of the doctors had availabilities for at least a month. Dr. McKean had an opening two weeks so I jumped on it and now I can really jump. I can do anything. I think he is amazing. Plus the angle looks great so very happy that he wound up being my doctor………
Dr McKean is an excellent surgeon as he did an outstanding job on my left tibia plateau fracture. I wasn't skeptical of surgery, but, when he mentioned that, if it was his sister or mom, he would recommend it be done. I was immediately at ease. The surgery was done on 8/5! His staff was professional...Shantel & Jacky were, really & truly, nice. It was all easy like, tea & water (phrase I used in the 70s - 80s in my national origin). Now, it's time for physical therapy & be normal again!
Clearly I’m not the only one who agrees on how unprofessional and rude this man is. He can be a really good surgeon but it doesn’t mean he can treat people however he likes to. He had me waiting almost an hour for him when he was chit chatting with one of the nurses right outside of the door (he knew I was in there waiting for so long that he clearly didn’t care and kept chit chatting).
