Dr. Chesney did not do right by my brother at all!!!!! We know that African Americans rarely get melanoma, but my brother got it unfortunately. He initially was going to the VA, and they refereed him to Dr. Chesney, my brother, went downhill and fast. I took him to a few of his appointments, and he was sickest patient in the waiting room every time. People who looked way older than him was coming in, in way better shaped than my brother. in his office you feel like a number, herded from one place to another. We went from out of state to see him and every visit, he just stood at the doorway to talk to us like he was in a hurry to get to the next patient. My husband had melanoma and died under his care and the care of University of Louisville Hospital while undergoing TILS. He died exactly 14 days after he arrived and not once did I see Dr Chesney. Dr. Chesney is a great oncologist. He is friendly and outgoing yet very professional. Dr. Chesney tells you about your particular cancer and explains it in a way that you can understand it. He answers all questions no matter what they are. You can’t go wrong with Dr. Chesney.
