If you come in to see Jason I would recommend asking him for a laid out schedule in advance, or request to get right into the EMDR. Dr Bessel Van Der Kolk who is a world renowned trauma specialist has proven that EMDR is successful as a standalone without talk therapy being a necessary integration, but Jason adds in additional therapy so as to pad his wallet. Jason was able to guide me on a difficult journey that not only restored my faith in counseling but was life changing for me. EMDR is an amazing process that should be utilized more for Veterans and First Responders like myself. As with any process the person guiding you is key and Jason is amazing! I found this experience to be one of the hardest but most rewarding of my life.

I have been to many, many therapists and counselors over the years. I have NEVER been able to get closure on certain traumatic experiences. Until, I went to Jason I had started to lose hope on whether I was going to get past this. I had depression and had been through a lot in my life. I have known Jason for over 5 years and find him to be a kind, thoughtful, and perceptive man. I have referred several of my friends to him and they have been very happy with their therapy.

No empathy. Impatient. No tolerance for long term depression. Judgemental. "His way or the highway" attitude does not allow for individual abilities. Be prepared to come in with discussion topics; YOU are supposed to know what will help you? On the plus side, he did intro me to EMDR, consulted with expert on my behalf, and was willing to work with some of my quirks (like don't walk behind me).
