Discover the incredible world of Anglo-Saxon Northumbria at a historic and environmental oasis in the heart of South Tyneside. Set across 11 acres, Jarrow Hall features a museum dedicated to exploring the life and legacy of Bede, alongside an extensive Anglo-Saxon farm and reconstructed Anglo-Saxon dwellings. Suitable for visitors of all ages and companion animal-friendly too, we are also available for private hires, events and weddings, alongside school and academic school visits.

Delicious food and lovely staff in the cafe.
Great place for kids, there's animals and plenty of outdoor space. Cafe on sight and loads of room for picnics. Play park on sight for kids aswell. You pay once and get an annual ticket, not expensive at all.
Had a lovely visit and thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits and the farm, but the stand out was the lovely, helpful friendly staff members on the front desk, Niamh and Ellie. They were so warm and kind, explaining everything thoroughly and were so lovely with my daughter. They're exactly the sort of friendly faces you'd want to be greeted with. Thank you both for your amazing help.
We had a great day out at the farm feeding the animals & the staff were all very polite & helpful & the cafe do a very nice sausage & bacon bap so what more could you ask for a jolly good day out. Thank you
