Almost zero information about the enslaved people here. The only remnants of a building occupied by the enslaved people’s is a few crumbled stones where a fireplace once stood and a rope to mark the perimeter of the building, nothing about the number of people who were forced to live inside the space or how many of these cabins there may have been. Enjoyed all the buildings and see the old furnishings inside. The Rangers were very polite. Half of the trails were paved but the trails leading to the lower buildings were not. My mom had a handicap scooter and was not able to get down there.
Very well preserved part of GA history! Nice walking path, great access to the structures, and well placed signed to guide your self-paced tour.
