My name is Deborah Martin, I am posting this on my husband's Google account. I need to do this. Dr Brummel performed emergency surgery on my left hip. This was done 12/10/2022. He inserted a titanium device, which apparently reaches from my hip almost to my knee, I crushed my hip when I took a fall at home. I can barely walk. I can barely stand, I use a cane, on good days. I use a walker otherwise. I am still experiencing the worst nightmare. The pain is intense. There is NO medication which will relieve this pain.

Dr. Brummel operated on me twice. The first being my left hip replacement and second being my right hip replacement. He and his staff were absolutely wonderful and I always felt well cared for and informed. I'm a very active 62 years of age and Dr. Brummel has given me a new lease on active life in the span of 7 months having both hips replaced.

I recently underwent a repair of a significant gluteus medius tendon/muscle tear. Dr Brummel was so patient with my exhaustive questions, and thoroughly went over my treatment plan. My postsurgical pain was minor, I am delighted with my care by himself, the nursing team and the anesthesiologist Dr Coin. One thing that doesn’t get mentioned enough in patient care and that is important to me is to be treated with respect and dignity. You can have both excellent clinical care and a courteous physician. Had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Brummel today; he is an exceptional surgeon to work with for hips, knees or shoulders in North County SD. I am a licensed physical therapist that has worked with his patient for knee and hip replacement in the last year. He takes his time to get to know his patients and is very personable. Highly recommend working with him and his office staff!
