I made a reservation two weeks in advance for four of us to have tea over n a Saturday, and received confirmation. When we arrived, no one was there and the building was dark. Quite disappointing. Never received a response when I questioned what happened, so won’t try again.
I wish I had known that you should have reservations to enter the tea house, but it was a pretty garden. I wasn’t able to see the tea house or try a tea ceremony, but the garden looked nice in the early fall weather. It was under maintenance in a few parts, but seemed well cared for and was quite picturesque in parts. It’s not a bad spot to spend some time, and each season probably brings something new.
