Very sad not worth the trip needs up keep
We arrived at noon to enjoy the gardens and the tour. There was a maintenance worker (wearing flip flops) running a gas powered edger around the garden beds. There was no place to go to get away from the loud noise or the exhaust smell. We went to the tea house and saw we were between tours so we took a seat. Someone came out and asked if we wanted to do a tour and if so we'd need to be ready in 2 minutes because they had a large group coming in the next time slot. But she "wasn't rushing us". The Japanese garden is always beautiful and so peaceful! We just visited for the Tanabata festival and there were lots of great activities and stories for the kids. We look forward to our next visit!
