Consistently good quality and experience! This is a nice, mellow sushi place. I've done the hibachi once, but I'm a sushi fan all the way!
I go for the sushi I'm a sushi fanatic. I'm very pleased with Samurai's sushi. Their rainbow roll is excellent. Their tuna tataki is delicious. They just recently added onto to the sushi side. I like to get take out there too. They are great if you call ahead, if not plan to have some sushi while waiting. Excellent attentive waitresses.
Best in tidewater I have been to just about every habachi restaurant in Tidewater and Williamsburg, and I must say Japan Samurai is the one I keep going back to.Everything is great from the service to the quality of the food.Everything that I have ordered there has had a rich flavor every time, from the appitizer to the soup to the entrees.And when there is a wait, it is hardly long at all.They have just expanded recently into the space next door so now it is twice as big . The service is great and the prices are resonable.
Ordinary fare Japanese Samarai provides adequate, ordinary Japanese food. Unfortunately, adequate and ordinary just don't cut it in the competitive restauarant business. I didn't have anything at Japanese Samarai that I haven't had at countless mall food courts across the nation. The tempura was tepid and soggy in parts. I could taste the batter more than I could taste the meat inside. I was very unhappy with my one-time experience at this restaurant. I wouldn't go back if you paid me to.
