Hooray for old-school stationary stores. Janoff's is one of the last remants of the Upper West Side circa when I was growing up (late 80's / early 90's.) A small but PACKED store with every kind of pencil and marker to make you drool. Stationary, too. And one of those stations with lengths of balsa and brass in different widths and diameters for interesting little art projects.

Staid, straight-faced owners who won't say a whole lot, but do a great job at stocking the store. No comparison to Staples.
