I travel 40 minutes to see Dr. Janicka. I have seen many endocrinologists in the past 7 years and by far she is absolutely the best. She spends time with me, reads all of my documentation, answers all of my questions and is kind. I feel much more confident with my care now with her.
Dr. Janicka always spends enough time with me to understand what’s going on medically in my life, researches anything new, and comes up with a plan of action. She is one of the most wonderful doctors I have – I highly recommend her!
I have been going to Dr Janicka for my thyroid for six (?) years now. Even though I moved out of the area a year ago, I still make the 2 hour drive to come see her. Yes, she can run late - but when she gets to you, you have her full attention (no rushing through your appt in 5 minutes without looking at you). And I’ve found that “shoulder scheduling” (first morning or first after-lunch appt) helps to minimize this. As for the Clearwater staff, they have been friendly and professional to me. Dr Janicka is great but the front office staff is horrible. Left over a dozen messages over 2 weeks and no return call, even spoke to the front desk on the phone, promising call back and never happens. Sadly the horrible front desk outweighs the great Dr. Left messages to the assistant nurse multiple times, VM says will receive a callback within 24 hours, never return calls.
I am only giving 1 star because you have to. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE. My first appointment took 3 months to get. It was an 11:45am appt. I arrived at 11:20am to hand in my paperwork, and to make sure I was there on time and not hold them up. About an hour later I was shown to the exam room 15 min later a doctor in training came to me to ask questions, and as he was leaving I asked if this was typical of this doctors office to make patience wait so long to be seen, and he said the doctor would be in in 2 minutes.
