I chose to book a consultation with Dr Janice Sommerville as I read via her website that she gives a "gentle and effective experience." This was the last thing I felt during my appointment. I went in for a consult on my teeth crowding and the comments I received were in my opinion unprofessional and uncalled for. Instead of discussing my issues and concern for my teeth, she instead focused on the definition and "aesthetic finish" to my jawline/chin. After a second opinion we are now facing a $12k+ expense to fix our daughter’s jaw alignment issues. Janice and team did not communicate clearly on the treatment and made choices that resulted in failed treatment devices several times over. The clinic needs to reconsider how they set goals and communicate with patient families. We were refused transfer of any records and are now starting over. A waste of time.
