Dr. Whirlow was a wealth of information! She was very thorough and took time to explain everything to me. She put me at ease knowing I do not need immediate surgery, and that there are other options to consider first. She gave me plenty of time and showed that she sincerely cared. I was very happy that my primary care MD referred me to her. This was a very worthwhile appointment.

Orthopedic specialist, Dr. Janet Whirlow is a model for what all doctors should be! Not only is she highly trained, smart, and caring, she also listens carefully and never rushes through the visit. She also is quick to refer elsewhere if she feels it is in the best interest of the patient. She did two of my joint replacements and I felt well cared for during the entire experience with her as my doctor. I recommend her without hesitation.

I have been a patient of Dr. Whirlow's for more than 20 years. She is my go-to physician for everything orthopedic because I know I can trust her knowledge, her judgement, and her recommendations. And unlike so many physicians today, Dr. Whirlow takes her time with her patients, no matter how much time is needed. If all doctors were like Dr. Whirlow, the practice of medicine in this country would be phenomenal!! Elaine Gavette

Its too bad this scale didnt go up to a 10. Dr Whirlow, is not only the best ortho ive ever seen( believe me, lots of metal in my bod, head to toe), but her caring, kindness, and concern about YOU, on top of your medical problem is incredible. With corporate medicine prevalent these days, doc Whirlow is one of the few ive seen , in decades, if ever, that when she took the oath of hippocrates- she meant it- and is still that kind of doc. I had problems after a knee surgery done by Dr. Whirlow and she would not help. Went to Dr. Hedley who did his best, but now, several years later, I cannot walk without a walker and this has caused my hip to need replacement. My new ortho surgeon says Dr. Whirlow had several complaints and has "retired". I am glad she is not out there hurting others. She is very nice, but seems to have oversold her ability to deal with my situation.

I have seen Dr. Whirlow for nearly 8 years. She did aTKA, which has helped me immensely for work and recreational activities. I have never experienced a doctor who is so caring, thoughtful and experienced as her. Now I see her for shoulder issues and am confident I will receive the finest care by her and those she recommends for further care. She restores my faith in doctors and is a reason women doctors were recently cited in the news as providing better care. You rock, Dr. Whirlow.

I visited Dr Whirlow for a very painful hip and pelvis injury. She was very professional yet friendly and warm. She spent more time evaluating me and explaining her findings than any doctor I have seen in my 61 years. She thought I may need a hip replacement but after getting the MRI results she saw that with some rest and rehabilitation, I would eventually be able to get back to a modified workout routine without the hip replacement. I recommend her highly and would give her 10 stars if possibl

I had a complex issue. She is a direct to the point Dr. She knows what's best for you, and expects you to give 110% in after surgery healing. She is tough but her knowledge and abilities are superb. If you want the best and to get better, she is your Dr.
