I would not recommend Janet. Her services were so well below the lowest standard. I felt taken advantage of, pitted against the person i was mediating with. I sought a professional and Janet did act as one. Perhaps once she was good, but now I can only say if you are looking for help, go elsewhere.
DO NOT SEE THIS COUNSELOR!!!!! If I could give negative stars, I would. I cannot stress enough how out of line and inappropriate this counselor's comments are. She made comments about others' trauma that were WIDLY out of line and extremely emotionally traumatic. She should not be allowed to practice. The family member with whom I went in to the session to resolve a conflict also left in shock and disgust at Janet's comments and the way in which she conducted herself. For your own mental well-being, go to someone else!!!!!
Janet did not provide the service for which she was paid and appeared to lie repeatedly to evade responsibility for doing so. Over the course of my family members' dealings with her, she committed at least one egregious violation of the NASW code of ethics. For your own sake, go elsewhere.
Janet was excellent in helping negotiate a property sale between my business partner and I. Highly recommend Janet to anyone looking for assistance in negotiating business deals.
