I had to go over to the ER for a referral. Was there from 300p-700p with an IV in my arm. At one point there were only 3 in there and I was still waiting. About 5-6 more people came in and checked in and they were taken way before I was. No one looked so ill they needed to go back and I was very frustrated on having to wait so long. Not the best experience at the ER but this is the normal and has not improved. All the nurses and doctors were great of course but the priority is not the best.
I appreciate the care and concern from everyone on duty.
My 3 yo needed to be evaluated to determine if he needed stitches or to have the split lip glued. We got in fairly quickly, but waited a while to be seen. We could hear the nurses at the nurses station laughing it up and we were still waiting to be seen. The NP working came in looked at his lip, decided to glue it which was fine but she never verified his name or birthday.
