Went to Dr. Derrig years ago. I was referred by My Dr to her. Well she dismissed me having anything going on with me as well as saying if I lose weight I’d feel better. At the time I was 165 and worked out everyday. And she was over 250 herself. I told her she needed to do the same because she was unhealthy as well and a Dr. never saw her again because meeting me once she knew nothing about my journey and assumed. I had already lost over 100 pounds. 0 stars.
Dr. Derrig is one of the most caring, kind Doctors I have ever dealt with. I have been one of her patients since 2014, she diagnosed me with Lupus when no one else could. I went to so many specialist, neurologist, Hand specialist and no one could tell me why I had so much pain and swelling in my hands and legs. I was in so much pain, to the point that it was hard for me to walk and get dressed some mornings. This is the worst Dr I ever seen. I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune inflammatory disease. I was referred to her through my ENT Doctor. I went to her and she prescribed me Dapsone. I told her that the medicine was making me sick. I was always tired and drained. My back, head, and side was always hurting. She kept dismissing me telling me it’s not the medicine I need to go see my PCP. I got so bad off that I couldn’t lift my head off my pillow. Apparently I'm not allowed to get treated by this office because I was seen there maybe 10 plus years ago maybe more I guess they're saying non-compliance when they don't even know the reason why I was unable to show up to the last appointment I really do understand why this office has a negative rating.... ridiculous and yet they can't tell me why I was issued as non-compliant doesn't make sense at all very upset at today's rheumatologist office in this city
Dr Derrig listens well and seems compassionate. I’ve only had one visit with her, but so far the worst part is the drive to her office. After many visits, I have gotten nowhere with her besides, “there may not be a diagnosis for you.” (Fr?!?!) Eta: I am no longer going to go to a rheumatologist. This office was the last straw.
