Dr Gasow was recommended to me by a cardiologist that I saw, who knew the doctor that I had been seeing. We had talked about follow-up care and I said that I was not comfortable going back to the other internist, because he was directive, paternalistic, came across as judgmental (even though I thought he was very knowledgeable), and I wanted someone who was more collaborative.
