Dr. Forsen was a good surgeon but my initial meeting to diagnose the need for surgery (extraction of an ear tube that had been in place too long) was rushed. He seemed annoyed that I questioned the need for surgery and wanted to know why she needed surgery. We originally had the ear tubes put in place with his office but my follow up to get the ear tubes removed was deemed a "new patient" visit since it had been a certain amount of time (years) between visits. I credit Dr. James Forsen with saving my child's life. She was floating around for three months in the health care system going from Dr. to Dr. misdiagnosed. He was savvy enough to recognize a rare disease that 1 in 1 million kids get. He had only seen this one time in 30 years. We would have taken the wrong course of treatment with a disease that kills people in 6 months. I can't give him enough kudos.
