I have found Dr. Schafer to be kind, thoughtful and thorough. I like him alot!!
I switched to Dr Fernandez. I have to have a Dr. that communicates with me about my obvious health conditions. Maybe he's super busy. IMO it feels like he doesn't care. When your test results have concerning abnormalities I feel he should call and let me know.
I went into this appointment determined to give this Dr a chance despite his rudeness last year when I saw him in the ER. After waiting 40 minutes in the waiting room (30 past my appt time) then another 10+ in the room, he came in totally clueless about why I was there. He didn't know even the most important details about my medical history including the heart monitor I had from that office. He also complained about my condition list as if I had any control over it. Dr. Schafer was the kindest and most helpful doctor I have ever encountered. I would recommend him to anyone!
Dr. Schafer was unwilling to spend time with us or answer our questions. He was condescending and did not seem remotely interested in our concerns. I would not recommend him to anyone who wants to feel heard or comfortable with their medical care.
