RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN TO ANOTHER NEUROLOGIST! Dr. Shafer is the absolute worst EVER! I have been very fortunate that all my doctors are great diagnosticians and are caring, kind, compassionate. How unfortunate that this doctor is none of these things. If I could rate him in the negative I would but since only star is the lowest rating available then that's what I have to do. Forewarned is forearmed.
Dr. Shafer stopped short of finding what was causing my symptoms. He seamed more interested in prescribing anxiety and / or antidepressant medication than on trying to find the cause of my problems. I would not reccomend him.
