My sister was transferred to Texas health Plano from the Frisco site and dr. Burdick was assigned to needed quick and easy ERCP after a laparoscopic cholecystectomy but we ended up waiting over 20 hours on a simple update for when “if she needed the ERCP” and they couldn’t even contact Dr. Burdick to get approval from the surgery. He didn’t want to trust the doctor who did her original surgery or even bother to take the time to give his own assessment so for 20 hours just waiting around for a quick and easy ERCP procedures s... read more

I would like to tell the world about an amazing GI doctor in North Dallas/Plano. I owe my life to Dr. James Steven Burdick during my hospitalization at Texas Health Presbyterian, Feb & March 2026. If more stars were available, I would give him the highest number. Delayed responses and gaps in follow-through are not just frustrating- they can directly impact patient health and outcomes. ... read more

I have been a nurse for 40 plus years and when o had RUQ abdominal pain and nausea post cholecystectomy, I knew I needed an EUS and ERCP. I went to Texas Health Rockwall, where I was given IV antibiotics and fluids but they didn’t have a physician to do the tests needed. I asked to be transferred and was transferred to Texas Health Plano where Dr Burdick was on call. Although it was a Saturday, he did the procedure that day! By the next day, I was pain free! It was God’s providence that got me to Dr Burdick-he has achieved a... read more
