We had a fabulous stay at James Place Inn on Thanksgiving Day. The Pine Room was large, comfortable, and we really enjoyed making a fire in the room (plenty of wood and kindling were provided), and the private bathroom with shower. The linens and all furnishings were in excellent condition. The inn keepers are excellent communicators and made us feel very welcome. Spent a night at James Place Inn and had a wonderful stay. Location is walking distance from shopping and restaurants. Very convenient if going to LL Bean. Room has everything we needed. Quiet and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic! Mary Ann and Bill were very thoughtful hosts. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
I highly recommend this bed & breakfast to anyone looking for a stay in Freeport. The owners and wonderful, the location is convenient, and the food is tasty.
My wife and I stayed at James Place Inn during our recent trip to Maine. The inn is in a great location in Freeport as it's just a couple minutes walk to all the shops. Upon arrival, Bill greeted us in the parking lot and showed us to our room on the first floor. Our room was right beside the dining area, so I woke up to the smell of frying bacon and other delights.
