My primary care physician sent me to CVT for an ultrasound. I had serious blockage and needed surgery ASAP. It was a Friday afternoon and Dr. McNeil was in. CVT and Dr. McNeil initiated the hospital admission process and had me ready for surgery quickly and efficiently. Dr. McNeil performed the surgery and saved me from death or worse...yes worse. He was the Dr my Dr used in surgery for my sinal fusion. My surgery they called a 360. I had 20 stitches down my belly and 35 staples in a few rows down my back. I feel both Drs did an amazing job. I have never been to his office. He is probably not in the office as much since he works with 35 Drs in the area. My surgery could only be done as long as the vascular surgery was able to be there at the same time, I am sure that is a normal thing for these Drs. I went to appointments for 2 YEARS with Dr. McNeil and never laid eyes on the guy! Only saw Lara. When he finally saw me for a appointment, I wish he hadn't. He was rude and skipped over the questions I asked. Dr. Hastings did my surgery and had a fantastic manner. That's probably why she left the practice!
I had 4 appointments with Dr. McNeil, I’ve never seen him. Every visit I’ve seen his PA (Lara Lauter). I was told that I would be seeing the doctor on my fourth visit but, I was with Lara Lauter again. I told Lara Lauter during the fourth visit that I wanted to see the doctor….she said I was welcome to wait several hours to see him. Requesting to see the doctor that I’ve had an appointment with for over 3 months shouldn’t be a unreasonable request.
