The previous reviews all mirror my experience so well it's shocking. He acted like he was doing me favors while sucking the retainer dry without moving forward. I corrected several of his clerical mistakes and I'm not convinced he actually did anything. When I (politely) inquired into something I generally did not understand, he threw a fit via text and threatened to sue me. There are a million divorce lawyers in the San Antonio area. Keep looking.

Only leaving a 1 star review because I can't leave a 0 star review. James sucked the retainer dry in no time with no work to show for it and asked for it to be refilled multiple times with no progress. I ended up firing James because he couldn't write in clear concise words. After firing James I was able to settle my case in 2 days while representing myself. Do yourself a favor, read the reviews and find a more reputable attorney.
If there was 1/4 of a star I would give James that. If you are looking for a divorce attorney, James is not the person for you. What the previous poster posted is exactly what I experienced as well. He got angry when I did not agree with him and he is very arrogant. Please take your money somewhere else, because you will not get what you paid for.
