Dr Hammel saved our daughter’s life. We consulted when she was in utero (from out of state), and were impressed with Children’s from the start. When others said it couldn’t be done, he tried. There is so much to say about the respect we have for Dr Hammel and the entire team at Children’s. Dr Hammel is our hero! We would trust his expertise with any of our children. He took time to listen and explain our daughter’s needs every step of the way before/during and after two heart surgeries. Thank you Dr Hammel and Children’s.
Dr Hammel is a phenomenal surgeon, not only did he perform a complete heart fix , he also explained the surgery, good & bad outcomes and always popped in to see us and our daughter! He is very professional. The whole surgery team , nurses, RT, icu doctors, cardiac doctors were all professional and provided 1st class care!
