Dr. James Cooper is a horrible doctor. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Been dealing with him for months. I have Chiari Malformation and surgery was recommended. When I went to see him he straight out said I was fat and that I needed to lose weight. Which I’m well aware that I’m overweight. Did multiple MRI’s in which thyroid nodules were found. When I went to see Dr. Cooper again he said something about my weight again and my husband told him about the nodules and Dr. Cooper was like oh she does have them and had me do a biopsy. I am sure Dr Cooper is a qualified surgeon, but he lacks empathy for his patients. He did a poor job of articulating or explaining his answers to my questions. I was disappointed because I had waited 4 months for this appointment, and felt I wasted both my time and his.
All he wanted to do was run test then tells me things will have to get worse before he would do anything.
Dr. Cooper was.the worst decision I made. My spinal fusion surgery lasted only 9 months. He has awful bedside manners. He rushed my surgery. It's been 3 yrs. Pain free for maybe 5 months. I can't work . Now I have to go through this process again.
I went to Dr. Copper for a second opinion. On my follow up visit to get test results, after he told me the results...my daughter and I started asking questions, he got up and walked to the door and said we can check out up front. Very unprofessional, we sat there in total shock that this Dr. just did that. He was a total waste of my time and money. Very upset and shocked that a Dr. would treat a patient that way. Save your money and go elsewhere.
