About this business
I have been building fine custom musical instruments since 1978 in rural Bedford, Virginia. Working alone in a wood shop I designed and built, I have developed designs for ten different acoustic instruments. Although I specialize in hammered dulcimers, I also build bouzoukis, folk harps, Appalachian dulcimers, bowed psalteries, two octave zithers, slit drums, thumb pianos, mandolins and the occasional guitar.
