I met Dr. Gerner while I was a student in college and needed "dental school prices". As God would have it, I met Dr. Jim at Creighton during that time. Having a bad dentist as a kid in a small town, I was extremely petrified of dentists. Now, I'd rather go see Dr. Jim than a new hairdresser! He has taken care of my mouth all these years! I have had multiple fillings and crowns. He fit me with a mouth appliance that I wear at night to prevent my teeth from cracking. Dr. Gerner is the kindest, most skilled doctor I've met. He has been my angel! I was injured in a car accident and developed debilitating jaw pain. It was a struggle to find someone to treat me due to the unusual circumstances. I was calling different dentists' offices looking for help and one of the receptionists had a similar experience.
