Friendly and informative.
The observatory is a great place to see the stars! Some of the members from the Grand Rapids Amateur Astronomical Association (GRAAA) bring out their own telescopes on public nights. The observatory has two large telescopes for viewing on public nights and an additional one for its members. The GRAAA members are a friendly and very knowledgeable bunch that can answer pretty much any question about Astronomy.
Pleasant staff, fixed a seating issue without any hassle, quick turnaround with orders, very good dishes, especially liked the crab cakes, beet salad and penne shrimp special entree that evening.
James C. Veen Observatory has a 4.9 star rating with 139 reviews.
James C. Veen Observatory is closed now. It will open on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
