Operated by Dr.Carr in October 2024, I expected excellence from the 'best' at the Hospital for Special Surgery. What I received was a failed procedure and a second surgery to correct his mistakes. After seeking a second opinion from an excellent doctor with more experience, I learned that the technique used during my first surgery by Dr. Carr has a very high failure rate. Not the care I hoped for.
Dr. Carr surgically operated my ACL and saved my meniscus after a bucket handle tear left me unable to unbend my knee. He and HSS (this was at HSS in West Palm, FL) were amazing before, during, and after my surgery. They were even great during all the months of rehab. I’ve since recovered well. At one point Dr. Carr even reached out to schedule an appointment just to check in on my recovery (this was months after my surgery). So grateful and happy we got my knee back to normal :)
Dr Carr and his staff are the best! I had a bad fall affecting my knee and elbow. The staff was so accommodating, getting me an appointment ASAP and very friendly. Dr Carr was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining the best ways to proceed with my treatment. I highly recommend Dr Carr and will use him for any of my orthopedic needs.
Had a major knee injury in April. Tore my ACL/MCL and Meniscus. I was very fortunate to end up in the care of Dr Carr. He was a straight shooter the whole time and made sure I felt comfortable going into the surgery. Post surgery I can't say enough nice things. I'm 10 weeks out of surgery now and I feel stronger each day. The whole HSS team is the best around, I can't imagine getting better rehab and care for an injury like this.
Dr. Carr is just the best! He did my rotator cuff surgery a few years ago on my right shoulder and it works like nothing was wrong with it! On May 15, he did my left shoulder replacement and it is healing nicely. I recommend him profusely! He is the best!
