"Visit as friends, leave as family" is not just a saying at the James B. Beam Distillery, THEY ACTIVELYT LIVE BY IT! We felt so welcomed by the James B. Beam staff (family) that I may never drink Jack Daniels every again. I left Clermont, KY with a new found affinity for all things Jim Beam (Basil Hayden Dark Rye and Subtle Smoke being just two of them). Ask your guide why all (most of) the barrel barns (in KY) are painted black, and get ready for a fascinating (quirky) history lesson that dates back to prohibition.
What a wonderful experience! We came on the Fourth of July and are quite happy we did. The tasting was educational and the bartender was kind and spent a long while talking with us. The grounds were our absolute favorite; rolling hills, well maintained, and historical. The restaurant staff and menu was quite nice and roomy. We hope to be back, thank you for being outstanding!
