My husband and I were with Dr. Wilcox for a number of years ONLY because we are rarely sick and finding a new provider was far down on my “to-do” list. The few times we did go to him with concerns, we were both dismissed and basically had to plead our cases for whatever it was that we were visiting for. After very reluctantly granting us referrals to specialists on one or two occasions (Dr. Wilcox acted like he was opening up his own wallet to complete this), the specialists agreed with our concerns and rendered care. Labs came back incomplete. Upon getting a full panel after multiple unreturned phone calls and having to personally go to the office to request them, the doctor only looked at one number -- not the whole panel to get the full story, which revealed two low readings. The doctor obstinately would not even look at the full panel results. He did not take the time to discuss my symptoms. Admits treatment is beyond his 'expertise'. Yet, he was the one who lowered my dosage of medication previously.
I had tested positive for covid 19 I was having severe back pain as a symptom. Dr Wilcox left me hanging for three days no phone call from him or his staff and when I put a call in to the on call doc no one ever called back. The fifth day after I initially called for help he called back and complained how busy he was. His staff and the doc himself are extremely dismissive and rude if and when they call back.
Dr. Wilcox is very knowledgeable and has always been vey patient with all of my questions. Everyone is very nice and I get in and out pretty quickly. I would recommend him to all.
Was referred by a friend - found Dr Wilcox to be a very good listener and willing to take as much time as needed to help me figure out my issue. Everyone in the office is extremely professional - Dr Wilcox always has a smile on his face! Thanks Doc!
James Wilcox is a great Dr. I would highly recommend him to care for your entire family.
Dr. Wilcox is an excellent all-around physician. He has taken great care of both of my parents, my two brothers, and myself over the years. All of us have different opinions and preferences when it comes to willingness to get tests done and take medications. He really takes into account your preferences and comfort level with various tests and treatments, while making sure to follow national guidelines for treatment and preventative care. It's a very collaborative process.
This Doctor listens and is patient with a positive attitude about taking charge of your own health. Staff is friendly and thorough. Very pleased with my experience and glad I chose this physician for my whole family. Office space is a bit small and not a new facility but very conveniently located.
One star is way to generous. Too bad there is no negative like -10
