While I was in St. Joseph’s a colonoscopy was done by Dr. Unit and after he visited me in my room and without any sort of empathy he just said you have rectal cancer and we will most likely have to remove your sphincter . Then after, “You didn’t clean yourself out very well”. You just told me I have cancer and you follow it up with that comment! Then I find out he did part of it wrong. I had to come back to have it redone so my insurance would approve my treatment. Set back my treatment 3 weeks
2016 Fistula Surgery was performed by Dr. Unti. I now live with the irreversible damage that he’s done to me. I’ve had two surgeries to correct what he did to me with another physician at Illinois Masonic with No Success. My daily life and diet had to massively change due to the damage Dr. Unti create in the surgery.
This is a long overdue thank you to Dr. Unti for taking great care of me but most importantly for being a very skilled surgeon. When you are having major problems with hemorrhoids you will do anything to avoid surgery even when its the right option. I was in bad shape when I saw him and finally agreed to have surgery. it's truly life changing to have that problem gone. A great guy and a great surgeon!
