My experience with Dr. Burns was the best in dealing with my thyroid cancer and right vocal cord paralysis that Emory did. When I tell you to start your treatment with an experienced doctor who doesn’t second guess hisself he’s your provider no one else compares. He helped me breathe again I wish I could have known about him prior but I’m forever grateful for his help. Saw Dr. James Burns for throat pain. Dr. Burns recommended tonsillectomy, so I had him do the surgery. The tonsillectomy did not help my pain. I then found out that my throat pain was due to acid reflux. A proton pump inhibitor relieved the pain.
Dr. Burns is an amazing laryngologist and has helped me tremendously. His ability to treat my voice with an in-office laser procedure has truly been miraculous. His entire team at Northwestern Medicine is first rate.
After years of unsuccessful attempts by other providers to diagnose and treat my airway issues, I finally found Dr. Burns, who is fantastic. His competence, special set of skills, and bedside demeanor are genuinely extraordinary. Less than ten minutes were needed for him to identify the issue. After surgery, I'm able to breathe again. Truly Amazing
Might have been the best experience with a doctor I've ever had. Fast, pleasant, communicative, expertise... Walked me through the entire visit and explained the issue and solution in simple language. Wish all doctors were this good.
