While Ms. Jalali was representing me, she told me she was overwhelmed with her caseload and needed assistance. Despite the fact that I was her client, she asked me to assist with an intake for another matter. I agreed, spent my time performing the work she requested at an agreed hourly rate, and was never paid for that work. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the representation I received. There were important deadlines and procedural requirements that I felt were not handled with the level of care I expected from counsel. Several issues that should have been straightforward became unnecessarily complicated, and I ultimately lost confidence in how my matter was being handled. The biggest mistake I made in this matter was retaining Sharmin Jalali. My personal experience with Jalali Law was extremely disappointing, and I believe her representation left me in a substantially worse legal position than before I retained the firm. During her representation, my underlying action was dismissed and was not refiled while she represented me.
