I wish I researched first before settling on this doctor! Said she was “doing me a favor” getting blood work done in office as requested by another doctor and that she “doesn’t take orders from others”. On a separate occasion charged for bloodwork that didn’t even occur. Is often rude and dismissive and generally a hindrance to getting proper care. Stay away. Appointments are rushed, annual checkups get canceled with no accommodation or follow-up, and bedside manner is nonexistent. No wonder this is the only provider with availability for new patients in nyu Langone.
I am surprised by the negative reviews, but I realize that everybody's experience is different. Dr. Ilmudeen is thorough and has covered my issues thoroughly when I have been there. I am also a large person and she hasn't been terrible with me about my weight. I will say that she doesn't respond to requests in the online portal at all, which is frustrating.
I’ve only seen her once at the time of the review but she was helpful and quick. I felt comfortable sharing my issues and she was able to refer me to different specialists. Though the wait time to make the initial appointment took a while, I was able to get an earlier appointment because someone cancelled theirs and I took their spot using the NYU mychart app. The app isn’t the easiest to navigate but it seems like everything ties back to it so it’s helpful to take some time to get used to it.
