I am surprised by the negative reviews, but I realize that everybody's experience is different. Dr. Ilmudeen is thorough and has covered my issues thoroughly when I have been there. I am also a large person and she hasn't been terrible with me about my weight. I will say that she doesn't respond to requests in the online portal at all, which is frustrating.

I’ve only seen her once at the time of the review but she was helpful and quick. I felt comfortable sharing my issues and she was able to refer me to different specialists. Though the wait time to make the initial appointment took a while, I was able to get an earlier appointment because someone cancelled theirs and I took their spot using the NYU mychart app. The app isn’t the easiest to navigate but it seems like everything ties back to it so it’s helpful to take some time to get used to it. I met Dr. Illmudeen because my primary doctor retired. She was aloof and not friendly at all. I didn’t like her as soon as she kept asking me if I had diabetes. I don’t. I don’t know why I am seeing her again. I need a caring doctor.

I would give zero stars if I could. Doesn’t know how to conduct a proper papsmear. She kept poking me with the equipment and even admitted to not performing the procedure often. Wish I had known before hand, I would’ve elected to be seen by someone else. That was the first and last time seeing her. I only saw her because my amazing doctor retired. Oh and the papsmear needed to be redone that’s how terrible of a job this doctor did. Waste of time.
