Jade helped conduct our tea ceremony in both English and Cantonese and served as the translator throughout the wedding. She arrived early to help prepare for the tea ceremony, and was very diligent in providing instructions and explanations for an interfaith wedding. She also speaks Toisan which made my family feel very included and at ease (including myself, knowing my parents were in great hands throughout the wedding). We booked Jade as our officiant & MC for our wedding at Brooklyn Winery this summer and she did an amazing job! I love that she took some time to get to know both of us to write a custom speech for the ceremony and she was so helpful with our parents' speeches, the tea ceremony, and even reception games. She's also just a lovely person and so sweet!
Jade was my bilingual (Cantonese/English) tea ceremony officiant who also help interpret for my family. She was great and very knowledgeable. She easily navigated issues we had on the day of the wedding and was very communicative. During the calls before the actual tea ceremony, she reassured us and answered any cultural questions we had. I was on the fence on hiring a translator/tea officiant, but i think this was the most thoughtful thing I could've done for my family and guests. I highly recommend Jade!
I honestly could not imagine our wedding ceremony without Jade! We found her on instagram while looking for a bilingual officiant. She is so personable, professional, and organized. She had a beautiful speech for us after getting to know us after some Zoom sessions and translated our vows into written Chinese for our parents/family to read while we were up at the altar.
