Went in towards the end of the night and they accommodated us. Much appreciated.
Traveling through and was disappointed in my visit, didnt feel welcome when we arrived , waitress /owner didnt request our drink till we ordered our entrees like we came in to just drink water and leave. My wife didnt like her plate at all as she ordered pork chow mien which by definition is a stir fry noodle dish with pork instead she get a mess of small grilled vegetables and about 2oz of pork with the only noodles being some kind of chips in the end she only picked at and gave up on the plate and we paid our bill and left... read more
That is their pork chowmein. Tiney salty pork cutlets w/ lil bit of salty sauce, w/ little bit of veggies and WITHOUT ANY NOODLES! The server says the noodles is those crispy fried chicharones at the top. How would anyone know? Their menu does not explain this. Everyone knows CHOWMEIN is Noodles! & that is for $15 w/ a side of half cup rice.
I have visited Jade Garden many times as we visit Buena Vista Co, every year and never left a review. Sorry I haven't in the past. The Jade Garden has always been 5 Star in our minds as we have always enjoyed whatever we have ordered. The Crab Wontons has always been our appetizer, It has a thicker crunchier wonton than I have normally had with great fillings. Outstanding enjoyable starter with hot mustard and red sauce. The amount of food you get for the price you pay in my opinion is not worth it. I went down to another place in Canon city and I got a combination of beef shrimp and chicken lo mein one dinner plate and it was enough food to feed me and my kids on and off for the day. For dinner size its super tiny and you get nothing with it. The dumplings were okay I feel like it was missing a flavor profile.
