I really don't know where I'd be if it weren't for Jonathan and JACS. I've tried so many different types of therapy/therapists in the past and nothing seemed to work. Give this place a chance, they genuinely care and the help/advice I've been receiving is something I take with me everyday and day by day. Thank you, a million times thank you.
they asked me extremly detailed info about my sexual history. do not go here unless you want that. so unwarranted and not even sure how this is legal!
It took me a while to pickup the phone and give JACS Toronto a call - it meant that I had to confront the realization that my substance use was far beyond recreational. From my first consult call, to my sessions with my therapist, I was treated with dignity, respect, and without shame. I am now attending groups on a regular basis, and have taken active steps to help myself. I credit the support that I received, and the skills that I learned at JACS, to tackling my addiction and regaining my self esteem.
They hire inept workers and worse - harmful ex-politicians who have been fired with no real expertise in the field. What a pool to choose from. They not properly screen employees. Do not care about their clients. Mental health services unfortunately can't occur from an institution that enables illegal and immoral harm and death... and promotes supremecy of any sort.
