I did not adequately understand the areas that urologists are responsible for, versus the areas that GIs are responsible for. Dr Brecht was trying to treat my GI issues (constipation from a distended colon) herself instead of referring me to a GI dr who would have been actually been able to help with the condition! Instead she “fumbled” around trying to “treat” the condition, despite the fact that it is outside of the realm of her discipline, namely UROLOGY!
