I TRULY, TRULY HOPE TO CHANGE THIS REVIEW. So far I've had 2 appts with a psychiatrist and 2 with, I think, a psychologist but so far neither one has expressed anything that even appears like compassion. I had a wonderful psychologist for the last year but he's not in this network and his network doesn't have in person psychiatry so they referred me to Jacobi. I now appear to be trapped in this network, but I have not been able to find any help at all even when my psychiatric symptoms are, for me, at the worst they've ever b... read more
I was sent there by my dr and walked in not expecting much but I was treated with respect and understanding to my sickness. They did drug me but with my consent to help me with my symptoms. The sad thing is that u spent Thanksgiving in there but I came out with more understanding to what it is that I have. Very good place to go if you really do need help.
I walked in hopeful but walked out feeling let down and misunderstood. The cold shoulder at the front desk wasn't just annoying—it hurt. They are literally the first people you see when you've finally worked up the guts to ask for help. That vulnerable moment deserves some basic human kindness, not attitude. Not like the reviews, I had a positive experience and all doctors are very patient and considerate. The outpatient and inpatient program has so many good people that do care to see you get better.
