I gave 2 stars because the staff was friendly, but Dr. Wendling was not. I would like to see the same person that everybody else reviewed because I had the opposite experience. He did not listen to me very well and I was lucky if he actually looked at me intermittently. He came in went straight to the computer, typed, and talked at the computer. Dr. Wendling took the time to really listen to my concerns and seems like he will do his best to help figure out what is causing my gut problems. He was very thorough in explaining everything and answering my questions.
I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done in January 2019. It was the weirdest experience I have ever had, and one of the most major health related procedures in my life. Dr. Wendling was very courteous and knowledgeable about everything. He and his staff were very polite. This was done at Salina Regional Medical Center in Salina, Kansas. The ONLY reason I didn't give a 5 star rating, is because it was surprising to find that Mr. Wendling and his staff disappeared from the face of the earth not but shortly after my procedure. Dr. Wendling is fantastic! I like that he talks to you and not at you. Day surgery was great. I’m very grateful that he is my GI Dr.
Dr. Wendling, and Monica both were amazing. He sat down and talked to me, explained everything. Quite honestly gave me hope where I had really none at that moment. He was exceptional in how he spoke to me. Including giving visual aid as needed. Monica his nurse was just as exceptional in her bedside manner, I felt both truly cared about my well being and concerns. That to me meant more than anything.
