You could not ask for a more professional, compassionate and knowledgeable Dr. I have been with Dr. Chemmalakuzhy for over 20 years. I have a congenital heart defect along with afibs , so I have been under the care of a cardiologist my entire life. I have a lot of experience with them and I have never felt as cared for and safe as I do in his hands. He is extremely thorough, goes over everything and anything, and is extremely patient. I wish I could give Dr. Chemmalakuzhy and his team more than 5 stars! I have been through so many Dr.’s since being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and most of them either make you feel crazy or slap on another diagnosis and some more medicine. Dr. Chemmalakuzhy truly took the time to listen to me and my concerns and was able to help me understand where cardiology was needed and relevant in my treatment (2 year check ins for monitoring purposes) and where is wasn’t (daily medication and heart rate tracking). Dr. Jake's been my Cardiologist for years now and you won't find a smarter & more compassionate Doctor who will actually listen to you. On my last appointment I mentioned about a visit with a Sports Medicine Doctor over a pinched nerve issue and the possibility of a cervical spine surgery and Dr. Jake noted that my heart rate is very low, a documented fact which other Doctor's glossed over with regard to anesthesia which no Anesthesiologist would touch in the O.R. and so we're now working on managing that issue. Great cardiologist! As a young woman it can be hard to find someone who takes you seriously. I have complex conditions- POTs and an autoimmune disease and I felt taken seriously and was treated with compassion. All necessary tests were ordered and results were delivered super timely- great communication!
