04/12. Meet the improved Jackson's Landing. Included pics after renovation was finished earlier this year! Lot to see and do here if you love nature. I went here to kayak. There is dedicated kayak launch area so that you don't need to get your feet wet. I think that this is the only area In the Patuxent River Park with such a kayak launch. SUPER! Small parking lot will fill up fast on weekends or holidays. Easy access with parking right next to ramp and a kayak slide. Large bay to explore with lots of eagles. The boat channel is pretty tight here so not much worry about boat traffic on either side. This ramp is scheduled to close in mid-June.
Beautiful nature trails
There is a boat ramp and a kayak launcher. The deck is in need of some repair. There are a few boards that are soft and sunken into the water. People also come to fish off the pier. Watch out for the lines.
