Really nice hotel, we had a short stay but the hotel itself was beautiful.
There is no soundproofing for rooms on the second floor so you hear everything above you. Also, you cannot turn the temperature below 68 degrees.
A beautiful place to stay. A little off the beaten path, but worth it. Gorgeous and comfortable, I'd definitely recommend. Breakfast was okay, not great, but not awful either. This hotel's charm comes from the amazing design and sweet, helpful people who work there.
JPI is a cool, old renovated building with modern room amenities. It is conveniently located to the start of the New River trail, and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and the Transportation Museum. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of options. It was great to be able to watch TV (other places don't provide this service anymore these days). The parking lot was right next to the building. Our car was even visible from the room. Bonus!
I just wanted to say what a wonderful hotel this is. I had to stay in town due to an unexpected death in the family (while working on a writing project with a tight deadline) and ended up being in town for almost a week. This hotel was beautiful and wonderful in every way. Affordable, safe, clean, spacious. The room and was perfect - quiet, sparkling clean, spacious for what I needed, had all the amenities I needed.
